This webinar will review IDEA law, the how-to steps for parents to ensure SPED services are in place, how to manage them throughout school and what to do when your school is not following your child's IEP/504. Diane Dragan is the St. Louis regional representative for Decoding Dyslexia Missouri. She is also on the advisory board for Boon Philanthropy, an organization that fundraises and provides scholarships for teachers in reading science. She runs the Facebook page Lindbergh: Leaders and Literacy and advocates vigorously in her district for evidence-based literacy practices. She is a mother of five kids, three of whom have dyslexia. She has filed due process on behalf of her son and helped other families file due process for their children. By day, she is a federal public defender representing indigent criminal defendants.
